The four lights that held the story

Brij Mohan & KusumRamesh & Sharda

Before there was a museum, a poem, a song or a single dance step, there were these four names. This is a tribute to the elders whose names became the moon, the sun, the dawn and the flower of the whole PassionIT story.

An elderly couple dancing hand in hand by a campfire while the community cheers
“Friendship is a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity.”
The answer to the museum's quiz

The names were hidden in plain sight

“…with Ethics, Strength, and Detachment under blessings of Krishna to restore petals in unified format under observation of Ram and Shakti…”

Scene 4 of the Kalki Leela asks which names within the family were discovered. The Game Room's first draft added Saraswati. Each word is a doorway to one of the four.

  1. Krishna
Brij Mohan“The enchanter of Braj”, a name of Krishna himself
  2. petals
Kusum“Flower”: the petals to be restored in unified format
  3. Ram
Ramesh“Lord of Rama (Lakshmi)”, a name of Vishnu
  4. Saraswati
ShardaA name of Saraswati, goddess of knowledge

Four lights, four souls

Krishna was born in the lunar line and Rama in the solar line. Saraswati is the first light of knowing, and a flower is love that asks for nothing. Together they light every lane of the museum.

The Moon · Chandra

Brij Mohan

Krishna of the lunar line: love, play and the flute on dark water.

The moon does not burn; it only returns the light it is given. So he played on the Yamuna's dark water, and taught that love is nearest when it holds on least.

In the museum: the great pause, Shiv-Shakti, the 18-Fold Gita.
Mukti · detachment

The Sun · Ravi

Ramesh

Rama of the solar line: duty, truth and a promise kept.

The sun has never once been late. It keeps its word to every field and every window, and that is how a promise becomes a day.

In the museum: the Junoon Lab, the ethics quiz, every call time.
Niti · ethics

Dawn light · Prabha

Sharda

Saraswati: the first light that teaches the eyes to see.

Before the sun, a pale light learns the shapes of things. She names them one by one, the raga, the step, the book, so that waking up becomes knowing.

In the museum: the Library, the Learning Hub, Raga Bhairav at first light.
Kriti · governance & structure

Love · Priya

Kusum

The flower: tenderness, beauty and life that blooms again.

A flower does not argue with the season. It opens, gives its scent to whoever passes, falls, and opens again next spring as if for the first time.

In the museum: the dance begins, Daughters, the petals restored.
Shakti · energy & action

Their place in the museum story

The elders who learnt to dance

The whole museum began with a gentle dare: let us teach a novice some dancing steps. Arms crossed, grumpy, unconvinced, the elders sat in their chairs. By the last scene they were dancing hand in hand. That journey is theirs.

  1. 1The Garden Gate

Roses, lilies and a bridge: Kusum's garden, where every visit begins.

  2. 5Kalki Leela, Scene 4

Their names hidden in the quiz, waiting to be found.

  3. 6Learn the Steps

Dadi's and Dada's sessions: five phases danced from a chair.

  4. 9Daughters

The elders' blessing behind “daughter rises, world rises”.

  5. ExitVasudhaiva Kutumbakam

One family's love, opened to the whole world.

The witnesses · Sakshi

Krishna and Kalki only watched

Neither of them steered the story. Like the charioteer of the Gita, they held the light and let the family drive.

Krishna

Observer · the charioteer

“I stood at the edge of the garden with my flute silent. I did not dance for them; I watched them learn to. That has always been my way: I do not fight the battle, I only light the road while you hold the reins.”

“When Brij Mohan smiled at Kusum by the fire, I did not need to play a single note.”

Kalki

Observer · the one who waits

“I did not come with a sword this time. I came as a question in a quiz, as a score of zero slowly turning into yes.”

“I watch who chooses dharma when no one is watching. Ramesh kept time like the sun; Sharda kept the light of knowing. The petals are being restored. I can wait.”

Direct feedback on the whole story

Parabrahman and Prakriti speak

The stillness behind everything, and the living world that dances on it, look back on the museum.

Parabrahman

The stillness · consciousness

“Before the first beat, I was the silence between two beats. Every pause in this story was me: the lost phone, the great pause of 2023, the moment a grandmother uncrossed her arms. You called it loss. I call it space.”

“The moon and the sun, the dawn and the flower are four faces I wore so that a family could recognise me. Nothing in this museum was wasted. Well done.”

Prakriti

The living world · nature

“I am the garden at the gate, the rain in Raga Malhar, the dhol under Bhangra feet. I changed my form a thousand times, prakriti badle roop, and you followed me with songs.”

“Kusum is my child: she blooms, she falls, she blooms again. Keep the elders' chairs in the sun and the children's feet on my earth, and this museum will never close.”

The Moon for the mind. The Sun for the duty. The Dawn for the knowing. And Love, so that all of it blooms.

And the torch they lit is now with the Lord of Light, who carries it forward.
